It wasn’t until I got home and started editing the pictures that I realized two things. One is that I took a crapload of Bob1 (Robert Leroy Mothersbaugh, Jr.) pictures and Two is that he’s really easy to photograph. Part of the reason I got so many Bob1 pictures is because in the photographer’s scrum, everyone bunched up down at Mark’s end of the stage, leaving the Bob1 end of the stage open. But the real reason I ended up with mostly Bob1 pictures is because when I take a picture, I generally am not immediately sure why I should press the shutter but something in me says the moment is right, the moment is right, I can do something with this. Bob1’s face just assembles itself so readily.
